Accessibility statement
Your Hometown Guide is for everyone in our communities. We want the site to be easy to use for people of all abilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnifiers, or other assistive technology.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That includes readable color contrast, text alternatives for images, clear headings, keyboard navigation, and pages that work on phones and with zoom.
What we are doing
- Checking new pages and designs for accessibility before they go live.
- Asking businesses and event organizers to include text in their listings, not only images or flyers.
- Reviewing the site regularly and fixing problems as we find them.
Known limits
Some content comes from businesses, event organizers, and other websites, such as event flyers that are images of text. We may not be able to make all of it fully accessible, but we will provide the information another way when asked.
Need help or found a problem?
